We created the change for the family the other way than someone would expect. They live together in a family house. They have a beautiful garden, so we wanted to give them “a piece of the nature” to the new interior and we also wanted to show the audience, that the living room can be also furnished this way. There was a visible old sofa and there was really bad placing of working corner. It was situated near the entrance to the balcony, so they could not go there. On the opposite wall, they had a classic TV set which they did not want.

During creating the proposal of the new living room, we did not make any working risk. We were concentrated to the production and concept of the new furniture. There was hard work with birches which “grow” through the furniture. We “renovated” a block of wood and it meant a symbolic of connection of the garden with this room. We found the block of wood nest to their fireplace and then it worked as a stool in the living room. Thanks to the change, we got not only the new furniture, but we also solved the door to the room and new doorframes. They did not have the doorframes before, so now they can close the door in the living room.
We are happy about layout of the working corner which is cleaned now. They have a lot of space for work and a computer. Before, they had only one meter of working place and a computer with a printer were connected on extension cables, so they looked at cables every day.
