When you get your hands on a beautiful space, a client with a great sense of design and beauty, and you're tasked with making her dream come true and finishing what she started.
The history of the house goes back before 1850. It's nestled under the walls in the picturesque historic district of Litoměřice.
It was once a bakery and the well in the cellar was used by fishermen.
The owner even moved here twice. The first time she attempted to furnish it by herself. During the second move she felt that something wasn't quite right, so she turned to us and gave us the task of furnishing the living room with a kitchen.
We started, as we do with all our interiors, to work out the layout.
Overall, we changed the positions of the kitchen and TV wall. We also rotated the position of the dining table and created a small bar area connected to the fireplace, which was not in the room before.
We knew from the beginning that we would work primarily with white in combination with black details.
The client had her eye on Jieldé lights, which we designed in a wall-mounted version for the kitchen and a floor-standing version behind the sofa.
The sofa remained original, we just reduced and replaced certain cushions.
The room also kept the original flooring, which the client did not want to change.
Another favourite brand that the client wished to purchase was Vitra. So the DSW chairs at her new desk were a must.
Another #lovebrand that helped us in the interior design was the Bomma brand, whose Soap lamps can be found above the dining table in a sandblasted version.
Other brands we love to use are Buster & Punch and their handles.
Switches from KATY-PATY and bar stools from Hay.
Aside from these brands and accessories, a lot of certain design details and materials used played a big role here to create a calm, clean and harmonious space.
