Three children, three children´s room, three various interiors…
We wanted to create a colourful and different room for each child, but we also wanted to connect individuality of each room because all rooms are in one house.
For a young girl, we designed a room in natural colours and tones, which naturally harmonize with different kinds of woody plants – those are on the floor, doors, windows and timbers. The original roof soffits are due to bad isolation covered by plasterboards and thanks to that we optically emphasized beautiful timbers.
The previous layout of the room made the room smaller. We opened the space, put there a bigger bed – double bed, which is placed between wardrobes. Around the bed, there are really nice canopies, which also create a headboard. Spaces around the bed are divided into two zones, one zone is for working and the other is created as a beauty corner. In the room, there is a lot of storage space in the form of open bookcase and closed cabinets and drawers.
The room, which belongs to the oldest sibling was created in boy´s colours – black, grey and dark green. All is accompanied by oak decor which harmonizes with original floor.
To the bed placed in the corner, we installed jute ropes, which helped us to connect the bed with the rest of the space. The oblique shape of the room and heights of the heating under the windows complicated arrangement of a table, but finally we found the solution. Also this room has a lot of storage space, opened shelves and a bookcase and on the right of the desk, there is also a cork notice board.
For the youngest boy, who had thanks to the roof room the most complicated room, we wanted to create a simple space that can come alive with toys. We created untraditional bed because of better feeling for small child´s sleeping. Position of the bad was suitable in the highest corner of the room. Thanks to the curtain placed on the roof construction of the bed, so the bed is really cosy and private.
In the next years, the youngest boy will start school attendance, so the room has a desk for learning. There is a space for books and also for toys, which the boy plays with these days. The main colour is lagoon blue combined with light beige… The main colours: white, grey, oak
